Because everyone needs a place
to heal their pain…

Tuesday, 30 October 2012

Do You Know Me?
Why do you look at me in that forlorn way?
Are you cold and hungry in this winter's day?
Why do you gaze with tears in your clear green eyes,
They are so translucent under the matching skies.
You look so familiar, like someone I know,
But sadly, last year, he had to go.
He burrowed deep into my heart,
Made me cry when we had to part.
He invaded my home, when he had no right,
Yet I had to give in to those eyes so bright.
They were like yours, a pearly green,
With the deepest aura that I've seen.
He did things wrong but I didn't mind,
The will to throw him out, I couldn't find,
He wasn't perfect, and I liked him for that,
And I tried to correct him as we sat.
But he was so stubborn, so determined and willed,
I dearly missed his encouragement when he was killed.
Are you his spirit, here to haunt me again?
And die once more and cause me pain?
Well, if him you cannot be,
Why do you look as if you know me?
And the night we met, he too, was ragged and thin,
Miserable and abused near the garbage bin.
If you think I would adopt and care for you,
And then rear you up faithful and true,
Then only to lose another life once again,
You're right, so don't just stand there, come on in!

It´s nice to write on a blog, to work by my she-human to read about other humans who love cats, to share ideas, to come across with precious drawings, to get to know artists, to find nice poems by unknown authors… I wish those people could see we love their work, we need it because it makes the Internet great: a place to meet despite the distance. It´s nice to write on a blog.

It´s very difficult to see the three fish at the same time, but dinner´s been so tasty… the Botia looks so nice and grown, the gate´s not so big now... the Ramirezzo Blue´s mad about the tablets, and Nusrat´s precious…

night, night
sleep tight everyone

The Cat That Walked by Himself
"He will kill mice, and he will be kind to babies when he is in the house, just as long as they do not pull his tail too hard. But when he has done that, and between times, and when the moon gets up and night comes, he is the Cat that walks by himself, and all places are alike to him. Then he goes out to the Wet Wild Woods or up the Wet Wild Trees or on the Wet Wild Roofs, waving his wild tail and walking by his wild lone."

Calm and joyful ways mean:
“no need to fend for yourself full time”.
So, let´s live in the honey jar, then. Let´s slow down.

All the thoughts we keep are extremely powerful weapons, colourful, and nourishing tools to make a nicer living, but mind it´s only nicer when others are actually met by our joy and light. Happiness can´t grow on a deserted island, Happiness can only be shared, Otherwise that´s not happiness, call it stillness, silence, comfort…

The secret ingredient to peace

Nations are chosing candidates these days...

Me di ta ti ve ways, concerned citizens… as a kitty-zen, I vote for calm manners and cheerful hearts.

I won´t be angry today
I´ll say thank you
I´ll grow nice thoughts
And whatever makes me blue,
I´ll see to overcome that
For I am a peaceful cat
I am a creature in peace
I am just a cat
But no less than that
I´ll get the true sense out of my meows
And I´ll be close to you if you need me
Without pressure
Without rushing
With love
I´ll be the feline presence

I´m rather lazy tonight. I´ve spent the day a-lo-ne and now my humans are spoiling me. Too busy to write too much. I just want to tell you that Gretchen Rubin actually replied to the e-mail my she-human wrote to her and we feel elated. She´s just an adorable, kind-hearted woman, talented and clever.
Good night, Gretchen.
Good night, Gaia.
Good night, fish in the tank.
Good night, everyone.

Good night, Elmo.

Night night
Sleep tight

Just in  Europe people eat more than a million animals per hour. At our community level, there must be something we can do. We can teach children that a compassionate world will be a world where healthy and kind people live in peace. A world where humans “produce” animals to kill them right afterwards to get food, a world where so many humans don´t have access to this tremendous chain of pain and hate, and therefore they are condemned to starvation, a world like this isn´t a world.
Read Dr Will Tuttle´s book, grow, think, and react. It´s not enough with being a human. You must behave in a humane way.

See the Kitten on the Wall
See the kitten on the wall,
Sporting with the leaves that fall.
Withered leaves - one - two - three
From the lofty elder tree.
Though the calm and frosty air,
Of this morning bright and fair.
Eddying round and round they sink,
Softly, slowly; one might think.
From the motions that are made,
Every little leaf conveyed
Sylph or Faery hither tending,
To this lower world descending.
Each invisible and mute,
In his wavering parachute.
But the Kitten, how she starts,
Crouches, stretches, paws, and darts!
First at one, and then its fellow,
Just as light and just as yellow.
There are many now - now one,
Now they stop and there are none.
What intenseness of desire,
In her upward eye of fire!
With a tiger-leap half-way,
Now she meets the coming prey.
Lets it go as fast, and then;
Has it in her power again.
Now she works with three or four,
Like an Indian conjurer;
Quick as he in feats of art,
Far beyond in joy of heart.
Where her antics played in the eye,
Of a thousand standers-by,
Clapping hands with shout and stare,
What would little Tabby care
For the plaudits of the crowd?
William Wordsworth

Good night thoughts
Good night people
Good night tiny orange tree

Mandalas bring thoughts of peace and calm, transcendence, patience.
Mandalas by the window, floating shaped in particles of light, mandalas in the bowl where I keep the tiny leaves the ginger bush cries…

One that is annoying,

unpleasant, or obnoxious.

N u I s a n c e
Whatever we try so as to grow, whatever we read or learn, whatever we believe or come to know, that´s all nothing if we can´t deal with that annoying daily nuisance that turns shiny mornings into dingy-glumy-like evenings. Whatever we call love, love´s what actually needs no labels, no explanations, no reasons.

Peace of Mind

Tuesday, 16 October 2012

If you ask me what sadness is, I´ll tell you it´s the idea of being alone, the memories of nice days that won´t come back, is sadness nostalgia, then? I´m only a cat, and yet my feelings are so real I can display them in so many ways. I´m only a cat, and yet my eyes say more than what human eyes say sometimes. I´m only a cat, and yet I´m my humans´cat. And I see how much they love me. Why sadness, then? My she-human may be broadcasting her feelings upon me. If you ask me what sadness is, I´ll tell you sadness is to see her blue and keep no success at healing this pain with meows.

                 And yet more controversy

A dispute, especially a public one, between sides holding opposing views.
