The Capella Reial de Catalunya 
was created in 1987
by Jordi Savall and Montserrat Figueres.
The group usually performs 
with Concert Des Nacions.
Prior to it,
Jordi Savall had founded Hespèrion XX
in Basel, Switzerland, in 1974.
